Description

The Horse Chestnut Leaves (Aesculus hippocastanum) was introduced to Europe from Asia in the 16th Century. Today, Horse Chestnut Leaves has found favor in creams as it’s reputed to cosmetically reduce the appearance of varicose veins, and assist in providing comfort when dealing with swelling or inflammation of joints and muscles.

It has the function of anti-edema, removing the edema and it can recover the permeability of the blood capillary. The most obvious effect it has is to improve microcirculation.

Preparation Methods
Infusion (Tea)
1. Dry Leaf: Use 1-2 teaspoons of dried Horse Chestnut Leaves per 8 oz of boiling water.
2. Steeping Time: Steep for 5-10 minutes.
3. Strain and Drink: Strain the tea and drink 2-3 times a day.

Tincture
1. Ratio: Mix 1 part Horse Chestnut Leaves with 2 parts vodka or glycerin.
2. Steeping Time: Steep for 2-6 weeks, shaking the mixture daily.
3. Strain and Use: Strain the tincture and use 20-30 drops, 2-3 times a day.

Infused Oil
1. Ratio: Mix 1 part Horse Chestnut Leaves with 2 parts carrier oil (coconut or olive oil).
2. Steeping Time: Steep for 2-6 weeks, shaking the mixture daily.
3. Strain and Use: Strain the infused oil and use topically, as needed.
